Yannis Ioannidis
Yannis Ioannidis is a professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an associated faculty member at Athena Research Center. His work spans data systems, scientific infrastructure, human-computer interaction and applications in culture and other disciplines. He served as president and general director of Athena from 2011 to 2021 and president of ACM from 2022 to 2024. His teaching and research experience connects the platform’s skills agenda with data and computing practice.
