Roundtables & dialogue

Make disagreement useful.

A serious discussion brings together people with different responsibilities, identifies the trade-off and records what would change their minds.

01

Before / define the tension

Choose one inquiry. Circulate a one-page brief with public sources, two competing options and the missing evidence. Include people affected by the decision, not only those purchasing the technology.

02

During / test the positions

Use 15 minutes to agree the question, 25 to compare evidence, 25 to challenge the options and 15 to record next actions. Ask each participant what evidence would change their position.

03

After / keep a decision record

Publish agreed points only with permission. Preserve unresolved disagreement. Assign an owner, an evidence request and a review date to every next action.

Leave with something usable.
